After just catching that bus that took a couple of hours and sitting next to the guy who took up 2 seats I made it to Dubrovnik. I didnt get a stamp from the Croations again. What is it with these guys and there no stamp policy. This guy even had the stamp thing in his hand and still said no. How much flirting do i have to do to get a stamp. Next EU country im going to strip down naked. I was looking at the map and feeling glad that i had to walk 200 metres from the bus stop to the youth hostel. Except, the bus station was actually 2 k's from the hostel. Plus if you add the fact that i went the wrong way it was 3 ks and a complete uphill walk.

I got to the hostel absolutley covered in sweat and was so buggered that i decided to have a little nanna nap. Woke up to 2 Finnish guys that were checking in same room. After talking to them i found out that they were eating at the same place as me in mostar, and were on the same bus to Dubrovnik and i saw them walking to the hostel a. Dog outside hostel

. Some times you are just meant to hang out with people. I spent the first day just walking around, walked for an hour to see what was down south, just busy beaches, was so tired again from walking had to sit for a couple of hours. It is all uphill in Dubrovnik, even when your walking downhill.... I walked through the old town for the good part of 15 minutes. Frightened by the amount of tourists and overpriced things, as well as bored to death of the old clock tower, the old wall, the old pharmacy the old historical museum etc...

When walking through the old town i became aware to the huge amount of males. Then i saw some holding hands, hugging etc. Finally to overhear one guy getting his picture taken, then saying he copied his pose from a madonna concert he saw. I was like is Dubrovnik a gay hangout. I quickly checked the book, no mention... There were hundreds of gay couples. I found out later, that a gay cruise ship had arrived the same day as me. Not that theres anything wrong with that.

Went back to the hostel, walked past the 2 finish guys who said they were looking for food. Joined them and we shared the biggest pizza i have ever seen. Turns out they were also going to the place i was going to next but leaving a day earlier. I walked with one of the guys, whose i called Gary, but his name is Kari b. Me with my bread

. The others guys name was Juha. Anyway, walked around with Gary looking for a nigh time picture of the old town. We went too far away. Learnt that Gary actually had a tree trunk fall on his head a year ago and it crushed him like a squashed can. He has had broken legs, face, veterbrate, you name it. Both these guys were really easy going, so much, that in the next entry, they took part in jump shots! Thats another story...

The next day i had to check out beacause a massive school group was checking in. The YHA was simalar to the one in Berchesgaden. There was an old lady, literally 2 stairs down with cats and a sick looking dog that the day before offered me a place in her flat for 80 kuna (20 bucks). I stupidly said they would be full tomorrow and told her i would be there next day for same price. I go there next day and she says 100 kuna!! I was like no no 80!... she replied 100 KUNA!.... Alright dammit...

She conned me. Well done to her. The room was really clean anyway, and i spent some of the night sitting down with her watching some italian soap, while she would not stop talking in croation (same language and serbian, bosnian), and yelling out "italiano!". I spent the second day getting my bus ticked onward, and walking to the copacabana beach c. Stairs to the beach

. Swam there, fell asleep on the pebble beach, and was awoken by the hundreds of school kids that arrived that day. I then walked the hour back to town and went to the beach near the hostel, which wasnt the cleanest, but there were kids jumping off rocks that were as high as bridges.

Finished up my second and last day, getting more anti bug cream. This one i cant shower or swim for 5 days. Its terrible i smell so bad right now. Every day has been 35 degrees!. Found for the first time a massive shopping centre the size of Revesby woolies. Finally got a towel again. Dont have to use a shirt to dry myself. Used some wierd coin internet that talked to me and ate some cheapo hamburgers and hung out with the old lady and her cats that followed me around the house. Left the next morning for Montenegro.
