So i catch the train to Vienna. Only an hour trip from Bratislava. The Slovakian passport control train guy walks through at a brisk pace asks for my passport, sees its Australian and doesnt look inside. I go fair enough, i just want an Austrian stamp. 5 minutes later. A passport guy and girl in their early 20s run through the cabin, check my photo and then keep running. i go "stamp???", sorry they said. Sorry.... Thats BULLSH$T!!! They ruined my perfect passport, which was perfectly listing the day i entered and left each country. Now its stuffed. I have been fuming over this for days. Im ok now. I had some really good schnitzel which relaxed me a bit and id like to explain that schnitzel further on in this entry.

Vienna... After once again going the wrong way on a tram, i went back the other way and I got to my hostel called the krustinghienger or something like that, and decided i would only spend a day walking around vienna as my plan was to head to the hills. I was also fuming over my passport debacle and just wanted to continue on. I didnt want to be in Vienna. It was rainy and gloomy and i was hungry. I walked round the corner to at last a take away shop. About 5 shops in a row were like fish and chips shops. But instead of fish and chips, they were Schnitzel and chips. I stopped at the busiest one and got myself a schnitzel burger. It was devine!! And i struggled to finish it, and.. it only cost me 5 bucks. They people there were really nice too. Good stuff i thought.

Anyway caught a train a couple of stops into the heart of the city. Walked around and took some snaps of buildings i didnt know what they were at the time. Museums manly. Vienna has loads of museums! Ridicolousy overpriced museums that are like 10 euros for entry. Yes i did hit maccas. Had a caramel sunday. Their Mcflurrys here are corneto mcflurrys! Then im sitting down reading the guide deciding what to do and i feel this pain on the side of my cheek. WTF! I reach and grab some thing and it stings my finger. Its a bee!! DAMMIT!! I swear and curse. All the bugs are after me. So im like stuff it. That bee is a sign. Ive walked around all day. Its pretty, its nice, im going back to the hostel, find some food and then get a good night sleep and head to the hills. I get back. I walk around for food. I go, the best place around is this Schnitzel place. I walk back in. They remember me. I get the schizel with chips. It comes out. I am shocked by the biggest Schnitzel i have ever seen in my life. I nearly cried tears of joy. I wished at that moment i could show the likes of Harris or Jen or Snorkie or even Pete. But i took a photo instead. The only thing missing was the gravy. She didnt understand what gravy was. Im sure she had it though. There was a taste testing thing going on where i tried different sauces she had. It was unsuccessful. So i used ketchup instead. She was impressed when she saw me taking a photo of the schnitzel and explained how her family had begun making schnitzels. She was very proud of her Schnitzels. I wanted to take a photo of this place from outside, but there were people outside who would have laughed at me for taking a picture. It was called something like Hagenschnitezel or something like that. Anyway if u goto vienna go there! I started to think maybe i should stay an extra day.

I went back to my hostel. Sick from my big schnitzel. Being that Vienna is a big musical town. Famous for Mozart. There was a piano in our hostel. It seemed everyone was a professional piano player. There were even like 4 guitars roaming around to. And there was this guy who worked at the bar there from Tassie, who thought he was king sh(t on the guitar and starting playing and singing cold play. He was awlful. And everyone was cringing when he sang the high pitch bits. There was also a british piano player that played random hard piano that wasnt easy to listen to. He just wouldnt stop. Some drunk guy walked up to him and told him to shut up. Then there these two asian girls. One from Korea and one from Japan. Brilliant. Have both been playing since they were little. You could get them to listen to a song on your mp3 and they could play it even if they hadnt even heard it before. All i could play on the piano was a little bit of Star Wars and the OC intro music.

Ended up chatting to the Korean girl, Hyon and the Japanese girl Shoko, and found out they were also heading to salzburg. My the time i got to sleep it was like 3am. I slept in, woke up and rang the hostel in Salzburg. It was full. So i said stuff it ill spend another day here. I walked more around Vienna in the sun!. Checked out a museum of coffins of old Kaisers and stuff. Which reminded me of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade when they discover the shield. And i also went to some famous ferris wheel out in the burbs a bit, famous from some 50#s movie called the third man. I rarely bought a train ticket because it was so expensive. Like 3 bucks one way. So i did the dodgy. The museum which took 5 minutes cost me 10 bucks, even on my illegal international student card. Its bollocks.

I ended up falling asleep on a park bench in some garden. Woke up after a couple of hours with drool all over my bag. And suprised all my stuff was still there. Met up with the girls and made spaghetti. It so much cheaper to make your own food. Im going to have to get into the habit. We headed off the next day to Salzburg.
