Hawoo again.
Have been in the town of Nha Trang the last few nights. I am still in the town of Nha Trang. Catching a 12 hour bus in 4 hours or so up north again to Hoi Ann. Nha Trang, much more happening place then where I was last. Met a group of 4 brit girls on a bus, 2 of whom are twins (cant tell apart!!). Been hanging out with them a little bit, going out for drinks. Drinks are so cheap here!!
Beers 50 cents oz
Vodka 50 cents oz
And since the world cup is on, all the bars are competing fiercly, every place has 2 for 1 on everything! One even gives away a free bottle of vodka if the team you pick wins!
World cup is once again on every little TV here, its crazy, people going crazy in the street. Cant sleep at night because all i can hear is the soccer on peoples tv's. They go for any team thats on.
The first night i was here i was sitting in a restuarant with the brits (so many brits!, they are trying to conquer the world!, there country is so crap they all leave i reckon)Heard screams of terror from the second level. A massive snake was crawling accross peoples legs (that doesnt happen at home). Also saw a mouse in the place running around. I was questioning my food, next day i couldnt get out of bed, bad stomach pains, was nearly in tears, but got over it.
The beach here is pretty awesome, there is huts everywhere that you can pay and sit in if you want. Islands everywhere. Vietnam has the nicest people so far, but the worst thing it has is the people who want u to buy stuff. Every breakfast, lunch, dinner, they walk into whatever place your in, even if your right up the back and show you their basket of smokes, mentos and postcards, you say no and they just stand there and you keep saying no, no, they sometimes say please, or why, or my family is poor. I would buy stuff it they had something good, but who wants postcards! I have like so much mentos out of guilt at the moment. They come up to you on the beach while your asleep and wake u up, they even come into the water while you swim. When you walk down the streets the bike taxis get you, you want motobike? you say no, you want weed? you say no, you want marijuana? you say no? you want good time? you say no, everyone the same! they go from bikes to marijuana, often they have a little bag ready to give u. One guy saw me walking down the street and saluted me and said hey u, u want marijuana, where u from? u all like weed there, my mother lives there i know you do. Sends me to tears of laughter sometimes. All the bob marley playing everywhere just makes it funnier. All of Vietnam they offer u bikes and weed. The other day when i was sick and struggling to walk, they were all hassling me (u get about 20 a day), when u feeling sick and stuff, it just pisses u off, i was swearing at them as they followed me down the street, they hopefully dont understand what i saying about their mothers as i walk hehe. I was in so much pain i just wanted them to leave me alone for one day. U want motorbike? "F off, your mum wants a motorbike" where u go? "away from u"... it wasnt good!
Went on a boat trip, went to a few islands, did a bit of swimming around. The sea was calm but all the vietnamese on the boat were sea sick. Then when the swimming bit came around all the vietnamese stayed in the boat and all the white people got in the water. The vietnamese that did go in the water wore life jackets. One kid even had a plastic pillow case on his head, i wish i took a picture. I jumped of a boat again, screaming like a girl has i fell to the water. They had a floating bar at one of the islands, had free red wine for 1 hour. I got on a floaty thingy and swam up, the guy gove me a half bottle of wine, i drunk that even though i hate wine, then he gove me a whole bottle of wine, it was crazy. It got lots of salt water in it, so i couldnt drink much hehe.
Loving Vietnam, the bus trips are amazing. The classic bright green rice paddies, with huge mountains in the background. I cant read on the bus or sleep, becuase i like to just look out the window.
The vietnamese people have to be the nicest ive met so far, and the vietnamese woman are definatley the most forward (excluding Pataya). Its so hot here every single day! In the 30's. Its not the heat, its the humidity that kills you. Im actually craving the winter at home.
I appreciate the emails people are sending. Keep it up.
