The Soccer (Australia won 2 -1)
I basically went to Osaka because I needed to start heading back to Tokyo and I wanted a big city where I knew there would be a sports bar for the soccer. The night of the soccer I headed to a British chain pub in Japan called the Hub. I wore the closest thing I could get to a Australian soccer jersey which was my Lemon shirt. When I sat there I realised I was the only westerner in the place and the only Australian surrounded by Japanese soccer fans in their jerseys. Then walked in a white guy who sat next to me. I thought he must be Aussie... In fact he was German, didn't care about the game and was there to meet friends
The Japanese cheer every touch of the ball and when they scored everyone gave me troubles. People would keep coming over to me and asking “What are those white birds on the field?” (seagulls). When we scored they all clapped me as if I was the one who scored. When we won they all clapped me as if I had won. People came over to congratulate me. Some swore at me! Some people even cried! I was too drunk and was a sore winner and knocked over by pizza in my celebrations.
Chatting to Naoke (sounds like Nike), I was informed his job involved importing used Japanese cars (e.g. Skylines and such) to Australia. I also found out Naoke is obsessed with women. Think of the Indian guy from Van Wilder. He is like the Japanese version. He informed me after I had been talking to yet another Information desk girl (maybe I attract Japanese Information desk girls) that Japan is hell. Beautiful Japanese girls are everywhere and dress much more
sexier and revealing than any girl anywhere else in the world as a whole (Of course this is a man's and my own perspective)
I didn't just chase after girls in Osaka. Despite what I may write about a lot! Most of my time is spent doing “Other Things”. I went to an Aquarium! It was actually pretty awesome. I also saw the new Terminator movie, Cost me about 25 bucks to see it in a relatively large sort of theater on the smallest movie screen in existence. It was like a 68cm tv and I'm sure the sound came out of 1 speaker at the front! I also got stopped by the police while I was walking down the street. They asked me for my passport. I was smashed and had just come out of “Mister Donut” They didn't even know what to check, so I just stood there eating my donut
Although I didn't really do much. I had a good time in Osaka. Made a new friend. Learn t the hell that is Japan and watched Australia win the soccer!
