20.07 - After checking out this morning at 08.00, I made my way to the Air New Zealand office in the centre of Rotorua so I could be picked up by the Kiwi Experience bus. When it came at 09.00, it turned out to be the wrong one! The lady I talked to on the phone when booking the trip had told me the wrong time and the right bus wasn't due until 10.00 so I had to wait another hour for it. I went into the Air New Zealand office to check on some flights for Mum. The bus finally arrived after an hour of reading and after picking up another couple of people, we were on our way. Our first step was Whangarei where we picked up one more person bringing the total up to 6 including the driver. I had a bit of dinner then did some food shopping as there are no shops where we are going. We stopped in Opotiki for a bit and again later on for gas and some of the nicest ice cream I have ever tasted. We finally got to Te Kaha and it is very nice. There is hardly anything here like but the house where we are stopping is nice and has everything I need. I am glad I staying here a couple of days but it's a shame everyone else is moving on as we were getting on quite well. We did a bit of kayaking and swimming then everyone had tea. It cost $17 so I decided to give it a miss as the accommodation was already $22. I ate my own food instead. We then decided to have a Jacuzzi but the water was freezing so we didn't stay in long. We spent the evening just watching movies and chilling out.
