17.17 - It was the usual story with waking up and checking in this morning. I cannot book for another night yet as the receptionist does not know how busy it will be tomorrow night. After my breakfast, I went down to the Waitomo Adventures office and booked myself onto the Lost World trip tomorrow. I can't wait, it will kill a bit of time and it involves doing a 100m abseil! I can't believe I am doing it, I have gotten so much more courage since I left home. With that done, I had all afternoon left to do something. I decided to do the Waitomo walkway which is supposed to one of the top 10 short walks in the country. I finally got to wear my hiking boots too! The first part of the walk was pretty boring but then I got into the cave area which was pretty cool. There were lots of little tracks leading off the main route and caves you could explore. It wasted a few hours anyway. After walking back along the same route, I have had nothing to do since. It was back to the reading room and the boredom of this YHA. As there was no bread at the store for me to make sandwiches with, I might get pizza for myself. They are supposed to be pretty good out here. One day left to go, I can't wait. At least it hasn't rained today so I have been able to get out. Now, time for some tea I think.
