19.33 - I have had a fun day today in which the main highlight was the caving trip I went on. We set off from the village at 11.00 and we drove for 15 mins until we got to the base camp where we go kitted out, then we set off. Although the caves were very similar to back home, we didn't have to do any crawling or abseiling unfortunately. Our group was only small but we had a lot of fun, especially when floating down the tunnels on our rubber rings in the pitch black. Although we did see some glow worms, which were beautiful, they were not up to the usual numbers as recent floods had washed away the larvae. Still, the trip was a good one and we got to go underwater for a bit which was quite scary. It was so good that I am thinking about doing one of the other trips, the one with the 100m abseil looks good! When I got back, I collected my free pictures from the shop then I went to ask about trips to Castle Rock. They do loads of rock climbing, abseiling etc that looks fun. Unfortunately though the transport there and back could not be organised so I will have to do it in Rotorua. This evening I have been doing the same as last. Reading is keeping me going at the moment but I have also got plans for a book of my own which I might start planning since I have so much spare time. The only thing is that everything is really expensive here so I might have to wait to buy a cheap notebook.
