18.19 - I was awake in the small hours this morning. I made a mistake just taking my thin sleeping bag liner as I was absolutely freezing. Luckily I had my fleece to warm me up a bit but I was still cold, it went on even longer because of the clocks going back too. I was really glad when I could finally get up and even gladder when it was time to leave. Catching the bus was a bit of a nightmare though. There was a market going on in the town centre at the place where I was supposed to get the bus but I didn't know where it would stop instead so I started walking along the path out of town in hope of flagging it down which I managed to do in the end although the driver wasn't right happy! When I got back to Paihia, I met up with the lads and we went to the bar for some breakfast and a few games of pool. I then went to the Waitangi Treaty House which was interesting although I didn't have much time because I wanted to get back in time to watch the re-run of the England vs Wales game. In the end though we couldn't find a bar showing it but the score was 31-21 (or something like that) to us. I was annoyed that we couldn't watch it though as I had more or less sprinted from the Treaty House to get back in time without really seeing everything. I am really enjoying myself here, the weather is good and the people are friendly. It's just as well because I might have to stay here a bit longer than expected as Kaitai is supposed to be pretty shit! I have done some laundry and written a few more postcards and been in the Jacuzzi here. This evening we are going to the Saltwater bar again to do the quiz.
