15.26 - So far all I can say is that it was a mistake to come to Kerikeri! I was told that this was where they filmed The Piano but now that I am here, it turns out that it's not! The thing is, I had to walk about 2 miles in search of the beach only to be told that I had got the wrong place! On the other had, Kerikeri is quite a nice place but very boring. I think the worst thing about the place is that I am sharing my dorm with a couple of weirdos. For that reason, I am going to try and keep away from the hostel as much as possible which will be hard because there is hardly anything to do! The morning was ok though. Me, Andy and the other guy went for a walk up the nearby hill to get some views of the surrounding area. Although it was nice, it wasn't really worth the walk up. We had to rush to get back in time for the bus which I only just managed to get. I said bye to my mate (I still don't know his name) and set off with only a handful of items for this evening. I think I will have a McDonalds tonight as a treat, it has been a while since I last had one.
19.52 - Despite the disappointment, this evening has been ok so far. I have a splitting headache at the moment, from the previous 2 nights drinking no doubt. The weather has been really good yet again and I am watching a brilliant sunset. I had my McDonalds which was a welcome treat but I think I am spending too much money at the moment. I am going to have to start budgeting again. I need to be up early tomorrow to get my bus back to Paihia.
