18.20 - Have had a fun today. I had to be up early, in time to reach Auckland where to boat departed at 10.00. The usual deal for getting there by bus. I got my lunch and then off we went. At first I thought we weren't going to see anything as we were travelling around looking for them for 2 hours without joy. The weather was ok so I sat at the front of the boat to soak in the rays. At last we spotted dolphins, about 100 of them which is quite a large group. They were fun to watch swimming in front of the boat, playing and racing each other. We then also saw a whale that had come to feed with the dolphins. It was really cool to see them all together with the birds circling around and dive bombing the area. Sadly we did not get to swim with them but it was definitely worth the money just to see them. There are certain conditions and rules that must be obeyed to be able to swim with dolphins but they could not be met today. The guides on board were again, really good. They seemed to know a lot about dolphins and definitely knew what they were on about. When we arrive back on shore I got another bus back to Sharon and Alan's. I had a good tea then went to sort out ma shit! It took me quite a while to do but afterwards I was rewarded with a bath, my first one for 6 weeks (I have had showers!). I checked my e-mails as well but I also managed to lock my Yorkshire Bank online banking because I couldn't remember the answer to a security question. I can't wait until tomorrow, although I have to be up at 06.00, I am looking forward to getting back on the road again.
