22.37 - Not long left now! I am trying to squeeze as much as possible into the days although today has been a bit of a waste. I had a relatively long lie in, getting up at 09.00, had my weetabix for breakfast then Sharon and me went to the bank. At the National Bank I found that I was unable to open an account as I was unable to produce a receipt proving that I was staying at Sharon's house despite her being present and having all the correct ID between us. Instead we went to the ASB bank where we had absolutely no problems although it did take a while. I got a card straightaway so now I can use EFTPOS where you just enter your pin and don't need to sign anything. I had to draw out $500 from my Master Card account to open it though, I had better tell Dad about that soon! From here I got the bus into town where I gave all my bank details to Mecca  so hopefully I will have my money soon. I then cancelled my accommodation at ACB tomorrow night as Alan said he can give me a lift into town. They are so kind and friendly I feel like a bit of a burden and I try not to put them out. Their house is hard to get so I do require a few lifts and help though. In ACB I also asked about trips to Antarctica but they couldn't really help me out there so I went to Borders and finished my book. To kill time I went to buy some postcards and a card to send Mum for Mothers day. I then got the bus back to Titirangi, I was going to walk to Sharon and Alan's house but I got lost so I had to get picked up which was a good job because it's a long way! After playing the piano (yeah!) which took me a while to remember how to do, we watched Top Gear then I checked my e-mails. Meeting Mum in May is proving to be awkward as there are lots of complications back home.
