00.10 - I was woken up today by two huge New Foundland dogs belonging to Sharon and Alan. I don't particularly like them as they are a bit smelly and slaver all over the place! It was another early morning because I had to be at work for 09.00. Sadly I have not yet had a bath but hopefully I might be able to have one soon. I got taken into Auckland city centre, a half hour drive from their house in Titirangi witnessing some of Alan's crazy driving as he attempted to get me to work on time! Work dragged on for hours as it was easy and not particularly busy but it gave me a chance to chat up the ladies which I think I did pretty well. After eating, I said bye to everyone, got changed and left for Borders to kill a bit of time. I forgot my trainers and camera so I was forced to wear my shoes which I hoped to throw away! I nearly finished my book but I had to catch the bus to Western Springs at 18.30 in time for the concert. I got my work bottle opener confiscated on the way in, I couldn't believe it! Beers were $6 each so I was forced to stay dry especially buying a programme for $25. There was this guy who was the bass player for Meat Loaf that came on before the concert to "warm up the crowd" but he was shite and it was annoying to wait the half hour before the actual gig started. When it finally did, it was awesome. He sang his good songs which everyone joined in with and cracked a few good jokes about his weight! Afterwards I waited 1 hour for a bus that was too full to get on so I had to wait to be picked up by Sharon and Alan. I went straight to bed when we got back.
