15.47 - Today I went to the Museum Of Transport And Technology. After getting the bus to Western Springs, I went to MOTAT site 1 which included a lot of the older forms of transport e.g. trams, old planes, horse and cart etc. It wasn't all that interesting and it could have done with a bit of money for updating. There were lots of kids there who were quite annoying so I didn't stay long. I decided to walk to MOTAT site 2, which was nice mostly due to another day of reasonable weather. The 2nd site was a lot better, showing a lot of life sized original aircraft. It was more interesting than the 1st site but again it needed money for improvements. The displays included a real Lancaster Bomber and a sea plane as well as lots of smaller planes and models. After here I decided to go back to the hostel. I am going to go back to Qantas to try and change my flights again. I will see if I can get a train from Heathrow instead. I also went to the bank this morning to try set up a bank account but I couldn't as I need to have a permanent New Zealand address. I can't use my backpackers address so Jo is seeing if I can use her friends address instead. I might just ask Tommy if there is any chance of getting paid cash in hand. Work was a bit better tonight, I like starting at 18.00. I made $5 tips tonight which is better than nothing but I still hate Bev! I was able to find out at Qantas that I will be able to fly to Heathrow and make my own way home from there which is cool as long as I can get a train.
