22.00 - Another good day today. I woke up at 11.00 due to the awful night's sleep I had. I wasted no time in getting out though. I was on the bus for 12.00, the only problem being that it had overheated and we couldn't go anywhere until the next bus came 20 minutes later. When we eventually got underway I sat on the right hand side of the bus which proved to be a bad decision as the park was on the left and I didn't see it so I missed my stop! I ended up getting off at the last stop and had to get the bus back to the park. After the long journey and missing my stop, I only had an hour left tops so I motored up the hill only to find there was no tree there! Instead there stood a huge monument pillar commemorating the man who gave the park back to the Maoris. The views from here were great though and it was well worth the walk up. After quickly taking a few pictures, I walked back down to the garden area of the park but I didn't see very much, just the visitor centre as I had to get the bus back to ACB. The traffic back was awful, especially in Newport and I was late getting back for the meeting for the Blues game. It turned out to be ok though because we didn't set off for another hour. We had fun on the coach there especially trying to make balloon animals out of condoms and races over the seats of the bus from front to back! The rugby game was ok but it was union so it was a bit boring. The Blues lost but I had fun still.
