19.53 - So far, I have had a nice day except for the getting up part that is. I got the Stray bus which was 15 minutes late then we set off for Raglan stopping off and Mt. Eden...again! There were only four of us on the bus but we got on well. There was a Canadian guy called Joe who was really loud and funny. There was also Fabian from Switzerland and Connie from Germany as well as our part Maori driver. After a brief stop in Hamilton, we arrived in the surfing village of Raglan which looked really cool and chilled out. The weather was good too which was another added bonus. We stocked up on food (and beer) for our BBQ then headed on to our accommodation which was pretty far away from the town. Although it was a bit tatty, they had a free pool table, videos, a flying fox (zip wire), basketball court and a ropes course. Instead of using these facilities or going surfing on one of the best left banks in the world, we went for a walk! The path took us through some pretty dense bush to the top of the hill but not being content with this, we decided to get off the beaten track and go to the top of the hill. The views were good although I didn't have my camera with me - bloody typical! The journey back down was a bit treacherous, I was only wearing my jeans and trainers so I was on my arse most of the time. We got back, had out BBQ which was excellent, then had a go on the flying fox which was fast and a bit scary in the dark.
