18.00 Just sat down in the park next to Waikiki beach waiting for the sun to go down. I have had a fun day. After packing my stuff (or most of it) and checking out of the YHA, I went down to the beach where I did a bit of swimming and read my book. I decided to go for an authentic McDonalds for dinner just so I could compare the quality compared to back home. Although it was better and I got some fresh pineapples, it was still the same old shite (I still ate it of course)! After lunch I went back to the hostel to drop off some stuff then I went back to the beach to try my hand at surfing. Although I enjoyed it, I didn't catch many waves, there were too many other surfers about and I didn't want to crash into them! The waves were fairly big and there was coral beneath me so I was a bit scared as well! I went back to the hostel again after this and watched the Mask Of Zorro then I went out for a walk where I indulged in another ice cream from Cold Mountain. I was going to go to the aquarium but it was closed. I need to have a shower and buy some souvenirs yet!
23.30 - I am just about on my way. I'm sat in the waiting area at the airport. I have bought my gifts although most of them are for me! There is not all that much I want to take home and give as a present! Getting here was a right farce, the airport shuttle bus was full and then the discount taxis weren't running so I ended up having to draw out another $25. I have also sent off all my postcards at last (all 20 of them)!
