Taganga is a nice little town just 5 minutes around the corner from Santa Marta. It is a really popular backpacker destination, but we came in the low season so it was not too crowded. You can tell that this place can be crawling with backpackers, because some of the resturants have all their signs in Hebrew (as I have said before, Isrealis make up a large percentage of the backpackers down here). We did two dives here that were really nice. The water is extra warm, and we saw a lot of cool animals, including three octopus and a bunch of scorpion fish. There is also an resturant, called Baggetts de Maria, that does awesome sandwitches.
