Stayed for most of a week in Bariloche. Definetly a cool city.
Points go to Lonely Planet for pointing me to Hostel 1004. The first 4 hostels I hit where full, so I cheked my book and 1004 was on the way to the bus stop where I would catch a bus out to a camp site. It is located in the lake-side penthouse appartment of what is probably the biggest and ugliest building in town. The view was amazing, and the hostel was really nice too. We were joking with some english guys that it had the best view in town becuase you couldn´t see the building. Still if you go to Bariloche stay in 1004.
I went to some caves in Cerro Leones. It was tough following the guild speaking spannish, but I got the gist that indians lived there, and they were discovered by Perito Moreno. The last cave we went in, they took us through a pretty tight squeeze to a second cavern with a lake in the back.
A couple of the ski resorts in the area keep some lifts running in the summer, so I had a really easy time getting to the top of a couple mountains. I went up Cerro Cathedral and Cerro Campinaro and got some really awesome views.
