I was gonna try to hitch-hike from Perito Moreno to the Caves but there is not much trafic on Rout 40. I sat at the edge of town for about an hour and there were only four cars heading south. Instead I camped out in town and payed for a tour.
The caves arenīt really caves but a sieres of over hangs that have some of the oldest rock art in the world. The oldest pictures are negative stencils of human hands. Most of them are left hands because it is easier to trace, they guess. They are about 9000 years old. The newer pitures are of guanaco and hunters and then it gets a little more abtract as time goes on. Definitely a cool place.
