El Calafate

El Calefate suprised me. All the other towns I have been to, in Patagonia, have had infastructure for traveler but not dedicated to turism. El Calafate is all about the tourism and its really trendy as well. The park here draws a ridiculus amount of turists, both argentinian and otherwise. I didn´t expect that many people to come that far south but they do.
I took a tour to see the Moreno Glacier that was really cool. We spent about 3 hours at the viewing area and about an hour on a boat up close to it. It is a really active glacier so we got so see some big chunks fall off. The glacier moves about 2 meters a day forward.
