I had to hitch hike part of the way from Puerto Arenas to Ushuaia. I saw tons of Nandu on the way. They are like ostriges, except they are brown and half the size. Tried to get a picture, but it looks like brown lumps in a field.

Ushuaia is the most souther city in the word. Some say that Puerto Arenas is the farthest city and Ushuaia is the farthest town. Now I´ve been to both of them. It is a cool city, between the mountains and the Beagle Chanel. It used to be a huge prison/penal colony. The old prison building is now a museum and art gallery.

It looks like this is the farthest south I go on this trip, from now on it is back to the north. I checked into getting to Antartica but it would cost at least $6000. I also checked out getting a job on a private yatch that was docked here, but they were fully crewed and I don´t really want to have a job anyway.
