Time for another day in the life i think...but now life is much more relaxed as this is a day in the life of me staying at Stu's beautiful house in Kenya on the Indian coast. The general theme is all about relaxing-I slept for 15hours on Monday, a good post-tour recovery, and cooling off in the lovely swimming pool which is cleaned daily or more by the pool boy! I am so well looked after I don't even have to make my own toast in the morning but it is served to me. Outrageous. I tried to help, honest but was told to relax. Also I now have lots of clean clothes after the dust and sweat of the Serengeti and am all new and shiny! Stu and I beat his parents at a 'spot of tennis' on Sunday, before enjoying pizzas and a stunning view of Kilifi creek at the 'members only club.' Delightful. The day is usually polished off with delicious dinner- prawn curry is my favourite so far, along with gin and tonics and an evening swim! Have been given the full guided tour of Stu's parents labs, amazing and today done the high and low-lights of Mombassa. The scariest driving experience in Africa so far i think with crazy minubuses, goats, bikes, buses and taxis all ploughing onto roundabouts all convinced they have right of way! Stu and I were both glad to get back safely!
All in all a lovely way to live, Kilifi is a very nice little coastal town...the The President of Kenya is visting Kilifi in the next hour-giving out land in exchange for votes at the next election. Outrageous again! It does feel different suddenly living such a priviliged life when there are so many with so little in Africa. You really do feel guilty (in between naps and delicious meals!). Long may it last...

Comments
Hello again Bex
My titles are not that imaginative... I seem only able to post comments to you on a Friday because at least then I am off to have a little fun at the weekend so I don't feelt the need to send you hate mail because I am at work! Going out with Sam (housemates) work people this evening (a little scared) and then going home for my mum's birthday tomorrow - it started out as lunch then evolved into afternoon tea and now it is just champagne and scones (classy?). Luke's birthday pub golf is on sat night so I am trying to secure a visor for the event. Also getting my hair cut, I cannot wait I look like a scarecrow at the moment.
Speak to you soon, lots of love Hannah xxxx
