Few weird experiences on my way to come and update the internet today....
1. Crawled out of my tent to find an albino monkey with its hands on my towel and a cheeky look in its eye! Had to chase the evil thing around for 10 mins and wait until it dropped the towel from the tree. How ridiculous is that? This camp site is overrun with monkeys... was sitting by pool and watched them get through a lot of the karma sutra, very ofputting but worst is that they are not scared of humans so you have to chuck water at them. Nasty!
2. Tried to change some money which is a complete hassle and slow process everywhere we've tried so far. Today i got given 500zambian thingy notes. 500=worth about 15p so had to stand there while he counted out about 100 of them, lucky i was only changing 10US dollars but now feel like a millionaire with the most worthless currency ever.
3. Finally got to the internet and power cut time...so then back to the pool and the monkeys!
Such an odd life!Am taking it easy today after too much fun yesterday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU
happy birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Beckles, Happy Birthday to you!!! I can only imagine you are somewhere very cool for your birthday, unfortunately being a Monday moprming I am at my desk reading about you being somehwere very exciting. Although I don't have the internet at the weekend so it's exciting to catch up on wehat you've been up to since last week. the gorge day sounds very cool - especially the plane. Went to Liz's for dinner on fri night with Jess and a couple of Lizzy's rowing mates - very nice (all our friends are turning into world class chefs it is a little too much pressure!) then went with Ben and my housemates to s smoothie festival in regents park on Sat - saw Jess and Steph there but we were quite late and going to the globe to watch some Shakespeare (get me and my culture) so didn't stay too long. Went to jess's yesterday to watch a film (I have had a very jess-filled weekend) and was ruinning there and I saw Peter Crouch (he is very tall and gangly in real life as well as on the tv). Anyway I mainly just wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday and say I missed you and I hope yuo have a lovely day (had probably by the time you read this). And I was looking at our Europe photos yesterday and do you remember we spent your birthfday that year with those 2 boring boys? It must be going better this year. Love you lots, Hannah xxx
