Gonna cut right to the chase for this first entry, hava feeling they might all be a little like this so lets go back to last week, flew out from london, night flight with a 45min touch down at Nairobi to make the transfer for the flight to J'berg. First flight was good, watched walk the line and other films only slight worry was that we left an hour late. The captain promised us we'd make the transfers, we'll sort it out. The air hostess also promised the same when we eventually got off the plane at 7.10 am, 5mins before the flight was due to leave. Well..surprise surprise i missed it, along with another lady due to get married in4days time. needless to say we were not too happy...particulalry when we realised the only guaranteed flight was at 8pm that eve. Argg.... my flying skils are non-existant, this seemed too remniscent of my interailing attempts 3years ago but with the added fun of being at the worlds most horrible airport and being very concened for my bags safety!
Anyway....after my early little adventure i did eventually arrive in J'berg about 9hours late to find i was spending my first night in a dorm room with 25complete strangers...some of whom who were on my tour. Despite not having slept much in the last 24hours this also was to prove a terrible nights sleep- 3of the worlds worst snorers were having a sound off contest! Absolutely horrific and made stressful by having to be on the truck to being my tour at 6am!! Not an ideal start....onwards and upwards!
