Sun shone and Yeah!!  Yoga on the sun deck then off to Vienna!
OH my goodness what a beautiful city.  Took the organized City Tour to get a good feel for it as we soon all agreed that this was a "must return" place.  National Library although it sounded like something that might not have appealed, was actually really cool.  Turns out libraries were status symbols in the old days and this one did not disappoint - extremely elegant.  We were delighted to be able to have the afternoon to just wander the streets and find what we wanted to explore.  Lanett, as our art expert, had introduced us to Klimpt - wow!!  Found our way to The Belvedere and had a good time learning about and seeing his most famous work "The Kiss" - incredible.  Enjoyed seeing a girl replacing gold leaf to maintain what was created in this Palace - what painstaking work they do to preserve their cultural treasures.  Hilarious heads produced by one artist until you read that the expressions were the result of some medical treatment.
Hungry!! so popped into the Museum cafe for great clubhouse sandwiches with the caution "eat quickly - the rains are coming" and man did it pour!!  Chatted with gal about the drink we'd seen so many have on the street cafes - oh how the Europeans do the best street cafes! - Gal was delightful in explaining it to us and then even offering a taste as we waited for the waitress to tally the bill.  Rain stopped and off we went, catching the tram back for a tour of the Opera house.  Funny folk (see pic of lady with T-Shirt saying on it).  Great to see and they even have standing tickets too - daily productions for 10 months!!
Back on the street for our daily cappuccino - small and delicious then off to find the jacket John wanted to try on but changed his mind??
Proud of ourselves finding the right subway back to the ship.
Freshened up, dinner and off to the Classical concert at the Imperial Palace....front row seats!  No mic's and amazing accoustics!  Played 90 minutes without a break!!  Quirky tenor with snappy eyes won us over; dashing other tenor with super voice - Japanese and another soprano Japanese gal who was absolutely full of life; another 2 sopranos, one who wore an amazing red dress.  Music was fun, full of bird twitters and some classical's and a hilarious wood wedge piece and anvils with all sorts of interaction between conductor, players and even the audience in a clapping piece.
Back to the ship and they even had snacks!!  Frankfurter's and pretzels!!  omg, the men had the dogs and went to bed happy.
Boat set sail to travel all night to our next destination - a small Austrian town of Durnstien.
