So Blessed!

The last day and 1/2 at Shreyas I felt absolutely transformed and it continues. I cannot understand how I have been so blessed to have this experience and indeed all that has transpired on this trip.  It has been The Best!

All my yoga sessions were private, teaching me the poses and ways of Ashtanga Yoga, gently, safely (for my arthritic joints), kindly but assertively.  5 sessions of physical yoga and equal number of pranayama and other meditative sides of yoga as well.  All so simply taught by beautiful young men and women.  Even after 1 1/2 years of yoga therapy I did not realize I really did not know how to breathe, which is prana and life's force that nurtures the body.  Just beginning but so exciting this refreshed way to live. Only 4 days but already my body feels freer and healthier than it has in 10 years.  Ecstatic with hope that I will keep getting better and better as all my teachers say I will.

Somehow, we have to create a Shreyas nearer home.  The beauty, tranquility, caring, service...phenomenal.  Meals beyond amazing. Every evening they would create a new location - candles everywhere, flowers and flower petals covering so much of the table, all white linen, candles in bags along the path leading to the tables wherever they might be..magical. The staff were simply excited by our expressions and joy when we saw what they had created – they often giggled.  Special little touches like after leaving our sandals at the door, some little "yoga elf" would turn them so that when you walked out of the room they were heading in the right direction :) never really saw them do this. When I arrived I was greeted with a huge flower garland and blessed in the traditional manner; when I left I almost cried when they gave me a white bag with fresh water and cookies and a travel book to read on my 2 hour trip to Bangalore but the real clincher was a few flowers tied in a hand posy to carry with me!

All of this contributed to a sense of well being internally and externally so that I feel almost "purified" and want to do everything possible to maintain this state of being going forward.

One day and one night in Bangalore and I'm still grinning so it's good so far :).  Crazy good things happening...but I guess that's to be expected when it's unexpected :) and you've 'let go’ and are just so happy.

Now I just want to help everyone and anyone I know be in the same place.
