4 p.m.Seven hours later, we've returned to collapse and re-energize before the Theatre tonite!  Yes, we're nuts but once we started out seeing so much of what we learned about when living here, we just couldn't stop!  Debs- remember St. Martin's in the Field?  you should see how they've modernized the Crypt! :( too modern! DJ - yes I loved the London Eye too - great perspective of the whole wonderful city and yup Zachary - I had to stop into Harrod's to see if a wee bear was waiting there for you :).  thanks for sending video on Zac trotting about so fast!! Tim -great preview!
Cannot believe the crowds here shopping (and so Christmasy eeekkk!) except in looking at some of the shops and styles - wow! the clothes and shoes and jackets etc.  And the prices have dropped considerably .... can understand the crowds. English economy is suffering which is reflected in prices we feel.
No rain today which is crazy.  Lianne - glad to hear there's been rain at home!! it's snow on those fav, runs of ours!
Got incredible seats for "We Will Rock You" with Queens music for tonite then home in a.m.

Couldn't end blog entry on #13 :) so this will end this trip blog. Thanks for being interested!!  See each f you soon!

An absolutely fabulous read Rich and I have enjoyed this trip is "Sarah's Key" (buried in suitcase but I'll get author if you'd like to read it). I love to learn history through novels so found and ordered this one onlinebefore I left.  Based in the area we stayed in in Paris during the Vichy times when the French police took the Jewish people from the Marais region on July 16, 1942 - really not very long ago at all -a terrible event in Paris that I really had not been very aware of.  I could not put it down and neither could Rich once he started it.  Beautifully written.  Highly recommend!  Great for that Book Club Chuckles.  Have to find all that this author has written!

Lianne on

I just finished reading Sarah's Key as well!! I, too, was surprised how little I knew about that. A difficult book to digest in many ways, but yes, well written and a quick read! This is a history we should never forget!
