No alarm this morning, just took the day as it came. It was bit too late for breakfast in the restaurant but we enjoyed some fruit and coffee on the balcony, well that's my healthy start to the holiday, not sure how long it will last but will do my best.We took an open top bus tour around Santa Cruz, we have been here many times to embark or disembark a ship but never really seen the place and we were not disappointed. A short walk from the ship and we were onboard a brightly coloured bus, with an audio commentary and the sun shining we set off.We passed by the cruise port and our ship looked quite small against the Aida Blu who was also in Port. The tour lasted about an hour, we could have hopped on & off at the various stops but we decided to stay on and enjoy the ride, passing quite different architectural buildings old and new as we moved around the town. One of the places we passed was Garcia Sanabria Park which we heard was a beautiful tropical garden so our next visit to Santa Cruz we will certainly revisit here.As our journey came to an end we sat and enjoyed a glass (or two)of Sangria in a most enjoyable setting overlooking a large pond like feature with a beautiful floral wall to one side and views across the bay to the other. A very relaxing, but most enjoyable couple of hours. Back to the ship for a light lunch on the sun deck before our lifeboat safety drill. It was soon time for our sail away deck party as we left Santa Cruz, the next two days will be at sea as we head for Senegal.
