Still not feeling that well today, seem to have picked up a tummy bug although haven't eaten much in last couple of days, it can't be the Vietnamese meal as I had been feeling unwell the day before, anyway having visited the ships doctor who prescribed some pills, although not feeling 100% the tablets are kicking in.
We met with Mark and fellow Titan passengers ready to disembark as a group. The ship was  moored about 2 hours from Bangkok and our group were having an included tour of the Grand Palace & Temples of Bangkok including the famous Emerald Buddha followed by lunch and then onto a hotel where rooms  were available for several hours before our midnight flight home.
As we arrived at the Palaces the temperature was 37 degrees with high humidity, I really would not have been able to walk around for just over an hour, so Mark got us a taxi to go the hotel. It was disappointing not to revisit these amazing Temples( our first visit was over 20 years ago) but with a long flight ahead I definitely made the sensible choice.
We got into a taxi which we knew was metered but as were about to set off a policeman stopped the driver and asked him to pull over and us to get out of the Taxi ! No English was spoken but we could tell by the policemans actions that the Taxi Driver had obviously done something wrong by picking us up where he did, although all seemed well as other people were getting into taxis at the same point.
anyway the policeman with hand jetures showed us across the road to abother waiting taxi and we were son in the comfort of reasonably cool airconditioned taxi taking us to to the Montien Hotel.
The hotel was full of character and the reception staff very welcoming but unlike me on this particular day not one photo was taken, I must have been poorly !
So my travelling blog is coming to an end, sorry no exotic photos of Bangkok for you all but hope you have enjoyed sharing in our holiday adventures from Sydney-Bangok.
