Enjoyed watching the flying fish as they skimmed the ocean, morning coffee served by my butler David. :)
Met up at breakfast with some of our group who were on a later party on Komodo, seems the dragons were a little more frisky than when we were taking the trail, heard from them how suddenly a couple of dragons had started to run towards them and everyone freaked out a bit - the rangers held the dragon's head with the long stick and managed to shoo him back into the undergrowth. We were group 10 their group was No.13 ! lucky or not, I guess that they saw the dragons in action but not so lucky to have felt threatened. This was the first time that Fred Olsen had visited Komodo, at the presentation to the Captain and officers on the beach yesterday apparently a commemorative plaque was presented to the captain along with a life cockerel
I have been to another craft class this morning, and we are working with air clay on one little project and also decorating a large canvas bag on another. Double Projects how will I cope?
The sea is so calm, just a slight ripple and the sun has been shining all day, far too hot to be sitting in the full rays, had a few dips in the pool, quite a few boats on the water and although quite a distance from our ship through the zoom on the camera could pick out how highly decorated the boats were.
In the afternoon escaped the heat and went to a talk by Jenni Trent-Hughes entitled "Nifty at Fifty" which was an amusing talk on how I stay young!
We tOok our first afternoon tea & cakes today, have managed to resist for 18 days but can now tick that off the list of to do's but don't think it will become a habit as now in need of an afternoon siesta.
Our next Port of Call is Semarang, Java.
