We were due to arrive in Brisbane at the main cruise terminal 8am but yesterday the captain announced that we were running behind schedule due to unexpected tides & wind changes, our new ETA was 12 noon and a different port 45 minutes outside the city !
Several of the full day excursions had to be cancelled and so some disappointed passengers.
We actually were ready to disembark about 11.00 so some time had been made up, we managed to contact our friend with the changes - Michael and his family had emigrated to Brisbane 5 n half years ago, it was great to catch up and hear how well they have settled into their new way of life own under.
We had time for a coffee and sandwich together and exchanged news from Bishop's Stortford.
The weather was a little bit damp and drizzly, we joked saying we had brought the English weather with us.
Tomorrow we are on our way for a fuel stop at Fraser Island but unable to go ashore, we then have some cruising days before we reach Hamilton Island.
Just had dinner and now sitting in the lounge bar listening to the pianist tinkering the ivories so will sign off now as my rather large Bailey's has just arrived. Xx

Hello Beverly and David. Enjoying reading your travel blog. Will miss you next Tuesday evening, Beverly. Sunny here yesterday but cloudy today and still very cold. Have been working in the garden in short bursts cos you have to go in to prevent your nose from running. Enjoyed my birthday celebrations last Tuesday. Keep safe.
