Once I had just about finished packing I sat down in the study to watch the Suite Life of Zach and Cody with Noah on the computer. After the episode had finished I figured out how to work Uncle Philip's LCD photo frame that he had given up hope on.
After lunch Noah set up his own bowling lane using cassette tapes, iPod cases and a pair of socks as his bowling ball. Having thoroughly enjoyed bowling yesterday, Aunty Margaret couldn't wait to join in on Noah's fun and played a game of bowling with him. I showed Uncle Phillip how to update the photos on the LCD screen. There was then not very long until it was time for us to say goodbye. Dad packed the suitcases in the car and we brought all backpacks to the front door. After taking heaps of final photos it was finally time for us to go. A few tears were shed as we gave the final hugs and boarded into the car.
The car trip seemed to go by really quickly. For the first leg I watched movies on my iPod until we pulled into a service station for a toilet stop and a chocolate break. We then piled back into the car and after another 2 hours of traveling we finally arrived in Coventry. We pulled into the driveway of mum's cousin Carol's house at 7.15pm and she was absolutely thrilled to see us. We went inside the house and were greeted by her exceptionally large, excitable Labrador called Thomas. After mum and Carol had caught up on past events dad headed out to pick up our keys from the hotel and mum, Carol, Celeste and Nikita went to pick up some dinner for us.
Dad returned after around 10 minutes with the keys and almost immediately afterwards mum, Carol, Celeste and Nikita returned with fish and chips. I was very excited to find out that they had managed to get potato cakes or 'potato waffles' as no one we had spoken to had ever heard of them before. After we had finished eating I sat down to watch the English version of the Rich List. Noah got into what appeared to be a fight with the dog as the dog jumped up on his hind legs and whacked Noah's head into the wall. Poor Noah.
It was then time for Dad, Celeste, Nikita, Noah and I to head to the hotel for the night. We said goodnight to mum and Bronte who are staying at Carol's and hopped into the car. The hotel was only 2 minutes down the road and after parking the car we walked through the rain to the hotel then traveled up the lift to the 5th floor. After sorting out room allocation - Celeste, Nikita & I in room 519 and Dad & Noah in room 518 we began to get ready for bed. After sending and checking some emails I sat down in bed to surf youtube with Celeste and update my travelpod before nodding off to sleep.
