After 14 hours of sleep I finally woke up at 9am. I hopped straight in the shower and began to instantly get ready as today I was heading off to my cousin Sophie's house. At 10.30am after breakfast and packing my bag we were greeted at the front door by Sophie and her dad Dean. We showed them both around the house before we locked up and headed off to their house. Nikita, Celeste and I traveled in the car with Sophie and her dad while Bronte, Noah, mum and dad followed in the car behind. We stopped at a petrol station the way for dad to fill up the car to find out petrol is a lot more expensive in England than it is back in Australia - about $2.30 a litre. Once the petrol had been paid for we headed back out onto the road to Sophie's house.
Once we arrived we piled out of the car and into the house where we met Sophie's mum, Melanie. We had a tour of the house before we headed outside to go on the trampoline while Bronte and Noah stayed inside to play the Wii. We jumped around for ages before we headed to the computer to chat to some of Sophie's friends on MSN. After spending a little longer on the trampoline again it was then time for Celeste and I to say goodbye to mum and the family as we were staying over the night with Sophie.
Once the family had left Sophie and her mum put on lunch for us which was chicken, chips and peas. After we had all finished eating we headed back to the computer until Sophie's older sister Laura returned home for work. She got changed and then took the 3 of us out in her car down to the beach for ice cream. We walked along the pier above the beach before we headed to an arcade. We played the dance game and then we were introduced to a new game I had never seen before where all you did was place 2 penny coins into a slot in attempt to push more coins off the end of a shelf to give you more goes.
When we had run out of pennies we walked back to Laura's car and traveled to their grandma's house, Aunty Shelia to us. Having never met her before, only ever talking to her over the phone, we were thrilled to finally meet her and we could tell she was very pleased to meet us too. She sat us outside and brought out drinks, chips (or as they are called in England, crisps) chocolate biscuits and fruit. We chatted to Aunty Shelia for about 30 minutes before we had to head home so Laura could get ready for work. Before we left Aunty Shelia gave us a massive bag of food for our sleepover tonight including chips, chocolate, biscuits and popcorn and after giving her a huge hug we headed back to Sophie's.
When we arrived home, we took all the food up to Sophie's room and sat down to listen to some music. After awhile we headed downstairs to put our orders in for dinner before sitting down to watch some TV. We watched one of Sophie's favourite shows, the English version of Dancing with the Stars. At 6.30pm we headed out with Laura to pick up our dinner, pizza and chips, before Laura headed off for work. We watched more of the TV while we ate and once we had finished we headed upstairs to play board games.
Later we hopped on the computer where we spent about an hour surfing the net and chatting to people on MSN before we headed upstairs again to play a board game called 'knowing me knowing you' to learn a little more about each other. This game turned out to be quite easy, especially when answering questions about Celeste as the answer to almost every second question was Chris Brown. One we had played two round of the game we decided to settle down and watch a movie. This in itself took us a while as we couldn't agree on what movie we would watch. We eventually decided on watching 'When a Stranger Calls' even though I wasn't too keen on watching it. We returned to Sophie's room where we set up a bed on the floor and surrounded ourselves with food before Sophie's parents returned home from the theatre. We said hello to them before we cuddled down to watch the movie.
The movie freaked me out from the minute it started. Thankfully both Celeste and Sophie had already seen the movie so they filled me in on what happened before it actually happened so I wasn't too freaked out. After watching around 45 minutes of the movie, before anything overlay scary had happen (thankfully) Sophie's parents asked us to go to bed as it was now 2am. After attempting to hide all of the food in Sophie's room, we said goodnight and headed off to bed.
