Pam and David Martin's day :)

I knew it would happen sometime or other. I just can't say 'no'. I swear it is some sort of disease. Anna, Rachel, Steph and I had been enjoying a stroll in the sunshine, when we turned the corner to San Blas and saw some of the most amazing jewellery ever... I mean really exquisite... Anna, Rach and Steph were hooked and instantly pulled out their purses. Mean old me, on the other hand, distracted the stall holders (if you can call a rug laid out on the floor a 'stall'...) from the fact that they weren't seeing the colour of my money, by asking them questions about the jewellery...  who made it? (they do), what is it made from? (silver), how much does it cost? (you don't even want to think about it...). I made some bland comment like 'I wish I could make things as beautiful as these', and they pounced on me like a great evil lion pounces on a beautiful, witty, intelligent blog writer *ahem* I meant gazelle.
So, the fact of the matter is that this Saturday morning, at 10.30am, Anna and I are meeting 2 strange hippies, who probably carry amulets containing the blood of their home reared guinea-pigs - ("We keep them for cuddles, not cuy"), for an hour long lesson of jewellery making. I am paying s/15 (about 2.50) for the experience, and will probably take home the most ghastly, deformed piece of jewellery known to man. Ah well... it's all about embracing different cultures and all that...
Wish me luck!
Love to all, Beth xxxxxx

Voy a estar tan terrible... Pues, estará una experiencia, ¿no?
Muchos besos a todos, Beth xxxxx
