Hello everyone,
The moment you have all been dreading. After another shoddy afternoon at work, I have been driven to the unspeakable... I have been driven to ask for your mercy, and your money. (I was tempted to become a lady of the night, but Mum and Dad put their feet down... apparently it just isn't the done thing these days...) During a quiet moment at Blockbusters (they are few and far between, believe me!) I calculated the money I will need for Peru, and the money I am likely to make before leaving for Peru, sadly the figures just didn't match :(
I was inspired by reading about a gap year traveller who asked everyone on her Parents' Christmas card list to sponsor her for a day of her trip, at £30 a day. I know, I did the whole gasp-in-horror reaction too, so I decided I would make it £15 for a particular day, and on that very special day I will post you a post card AND dedicate my blog entry to you and your beautiful generosity. Sound like a deal?
There are 86 potential days, and IF you and I manage to fill all those days with donations I would raise a whopping £1290! More than half of what I have left to raise :) That, my friends, would be fabulous, (I live in hope!). If, however, you don't want to or can't make a donation I completely understand, (I, for one, know what it's like to be skint...), and I want to stress very heavily that no one should feel in any way obliged.
I want to now say an extremely big THANK YOU to the people who have already sponsored me for days in Peru. Grandma and Grandad Potter have sponsored me for my first day away - 7th April, and Carole Ellison has donated for an enormous 5days (8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th April) Blog dedications and post cards to be posted on arrival.
If you are tempted to donate for a day then there are a number of ways to go about it...
Email me: bethanymarston@hotmail.co.uk and we can work something out.
OR use the 'Support my travels' tab above my blog entry and you can buy one of my days using PayPal.
Thank you to everyone for your continued support and encouragement, and thanks for helping to make my Peruvian dreams come true.
Love Beth(any) x x x

PS. Specfic days can be allocated if you have a date in mind! Let me know.
