I left Dublin aright (I honestly have no recollection of what day or how long ago - guess i'm finally in the vacation mood:)) and got into Frankfurt Germany. I had been there before and really was in no mood to stay there - it's just a financial city to me. I thought I would have to spend the night there but I walked right to the train station in the airport and they said I could leave in 20 min for a train to Interlaken Switzerland where I had decided I wanted to go. So I got the ticket. I walk to the train station and there are these three people from Trinidad (all I could think about was Trinidad and Tibago in the miss universe parent) who were hopelessly lost. They asked if I sole English and soon I became their personal guide to the trains. They just wanted to follow me and wouldn't learn when I tried to teach them the system, so I actually 'lost' them on one of the trains because they were annoying me - but they wouldn't learn! I have no idea how I managed to be a trainer and not kill the students.
Started talking to this guy in the train station who turned out to work in telecom in Frankfurt. Great guy, almost followed him to Munich, but alas me and my budget were in 2nd class while he was in 1st.
Got into Interlaken, which is between two lakes in the mountains, late at night and it was raining so tok a cab to the hostel I had not found in any guide books, but instead on someone elses blog. Never again. Turned out to be like a frat house. Walked into my room for 4 people and there were 3 guys there that looked like they had lived there for a week. Turned out to be really nice guys, just graduated from Villinova in Philly, but they had just graduated. Reminded me of my sisters friends - I'm just definitely a lot older than I was when I was traveling rightout of college.
Got up this morning and walked around teh GORGEOUS town with the mountions and the green water and found the best hostel I have ever stayed in. All hostels should be modeled after this one (Backpackers Villa). Took it easy and just walked around the town all day - tommoorow I will go hiking up in the mountatins. Met this really nice crazy older woman who has traveled alone and she gave me a bunch of tips of where to go. I keep talking to all these older people (guess it's just like back home with me and all my old aging friends;)).
I love telling people I have no idea how long I will be here or where I'm going next. The freedom is unbelieveable and I'm loving every single second.
