Tomorrow is the big day! I'm all packed (well mostly packed) and the bag is an impressive 23 pounds, if I may say so myself (the bag itself is over 5 pounds). The backpack on the opening page is all that I am taking. I am used to taking more than that on my weekly trips for work. Those of you who are planning on visiting me might want to bring along some extra clothes for me to wear while I'm with you :). They say that the more you travel the better you pack, and I definitely learned from my Europe trip three years ago that it is no fun at all to lug around a heavy backpack.

I take off tomorrow and I am very excited. People have asked if I am nervous, but actually I've never had anything feel so incredibly right in my entire life. I've always wanted to travel and am thankful that I have this opportunity. Thanks to my company for letting me take time off, my mom for taking care of things while I am gone, and my friends for all the advice (I'm still laughing at a few of the suggestions). Everyone has told me to be careful and safe, and believe me, I will do my best to make it through the entire trip. I will miss you all, but I can't wait to embark on an adventure of a lifetime. See you in 7 months!!!

Big backpack
I hope that backpack comes in other sizes besides thumbnail.

Its good to see someone do what so many of us only talk about doing. Have a great trip.
