Hello Barnaby Bear and Year 1

Sorry I haven't written for such a long time. I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year. Did you get my Christmas card and small present for you all? We have had a great Christmas. It has been a bit strange as it is so hot here. There was no chance of snow for us at Christmas. We did have a lovely Christmas dinner though and afterwards some people went to the beach and the rest of us had a water fight.

For New Year we stood and watched the fireworks over the famous harbour bridge. They were great and went on for ages. Everyone had a great time. We are leaving Sydney tomorrow to go back towards Melbourne to a small town called Tatura. We are going fruit picking for 6 weeks. Julia and Chris will have to pick tomatoes all day but they say that it will be ok because some of their friends are going to go with them.

We haven't done very much since I last wrote. Julia and Chris have been working. Julia has been cleaning the hostel where we are staying. Chris has been working for Mr Trees where he helps to cut down dead trees. We have been to the beach a lot as it has been quite hot but the water is always really cold. I like it when its cold because it cools me down.

I have to go and pack now, we have a very long bus ride tomorrow. It is going to take us about 12hours.

Talk to you soon

Lots of Love Bertie Bear xxx
