Father's day and other day antics
Entry 36 of 54 | show all | print this entry |
Plans are steaming ahead to sort out our arrival for the full moon party. We will hopefully be getting a boat across on the night of the party, because the entire island's accommodation seems to be booked up.
Sam has left us now, on a voyage back to England to tell of the wonderful sights he has seen and the interesting people he has met. Sam, we wish you luck in settling back into Leamington, we know this must be hard but our thoughts are with you.
As some of you may be aware, it's FATHER'S DAY! So I think my Dad deserves a special mention. Here are some things my dad is good at:
Cooking Salmon, mmmmmm (amongst other things). Telling the most awful jokes that still somehow manage to make you laugh (a fact that he often annoyingly points out. - "I'm not even laughing!"). D.I.Y. Making camper vans. Drinking wine. Flying planes (most of the time). Teaching me about maths and science when I was all little. And you guessed it............ just being a fantastic Dad (else why would my blogs be so fantastically good?).
Other things that have been going on include:
Me buying a fantastic bag, it's so good. It has nine pockets, and who doesn't love pockets?
We (as in me, Oonagh, Tom and Joel (or Oonagh, Tom, Joel and I depending on your prescriptivist or descriptivist view)) walked into a club that had a climbing wall in it, decided that it was too loud and rubbish and walked out, we gave up on the "clubbing" idea and instead we...
...went and got massages. We spent 220 Baht each on an hour's massage, which is roughly 3.40 in pound. At first I felt incredibly awkward and weird. But I soon got over this and thoroughly enjoyed my self. I think massages are addictive.
I also purchased a new notebook, this might sound like rather boring news to everyone else, but I really enjoy writing and this notebook is seriously nice.
Tomorrow we shall go to the Vietnamese embassy (hopefully we will wake up in time), and then make our way to Kho Tao, until then, love to everyone! Loads of Love Bernie xxxx
Where I stayed:
