Very very nice place. Colors and flowers everywhere, beautiful houses, churches, streets...
Cusco is surely the capital of colonial architecture in the Andes but Cartagena has a unique mix of Latin + Caribbean vibes. Cusco is an open museum while Cartagena is still writing its own history. The city is so lively with great music, restaurants, shops... at every corner.
The weather being rather wet to say the least, we had to postpone the boat trip to the 26th. To be honest, November is definitely not the best month to visit Colombia, weather wise. It rains almost everyday and there are inundations in every regions. I donīt mention my allergy that is simply a nightmare.
27th: following the severe rain, there is no running water for the 1 million inhabitants of Cartagena, including us.
We wanted to visit the Islas del Rosario and Playa Blanca but the weather made us focus on the city. Maybe next time.
We leave Cartagena for Bogota this afternoon and will take another flight tomorrow 28th for Leticia where the weatherman announced... yes you are right, rain.
