Estoy Feliz!!!!
After a day traveling, I am now in South America and I already love it. I already did months ago and more and more as the time approached to be there.
After 3 months of relax or active "holidays", I feel like traveling again. For the moment it feels a lot like Spain with good Latino vibes all around. People are shouting, laughing, kissing,... living. This is so much more public demonstration than everything I have seen this year. And they speak Spanish!!!! I absolutely love it already and my hostel put me back 7 years ago when I started my semester in Salamanca. Probably the best 6 months until this year so I am sure I (and my wallet) will enjoy my time in South America.
Still jet lagged, went out until 11pm (very late compared to my last 3 months) and came back full up and slightly drunk for 5 US. That is officially the end of the cooking!! I am back on eating out every single time.
Walked in town all day the 14th. Nice weather.
Santiago makes me think of Madrid but is not as nice. For those who know Madrid, you will understand that Santiago is not really a pretty city. Still, I like it.
Had probably the best meat of this year for dinner at the Vacas Gordas restaurant. Pisco cocktails were not too bad either.
Good news: Chile beat Argentina for the world cup qualifying so happy people and big fiesta in the streets!
Bad news 1: because of the Pisco the 14th, I was too tired to enjoy the fiesta the 15th.
Bad news 2: because of the financial crisis, my saving account is frozen until further notice. The Iceland banking system looks to collapse any minute so I cant make any transfer until further notice. That is very useful when you are traveling for a long time.
