I called the entry "The Glaciers" but it was difficult to see them (Franz Josef and Fox). It has been pouring rain since my departure of Murchinson early morning (6:30am). It only cleared up slightly at around 2pm, enough for me to catch a glimpse. After that, I drove 2h to Haast, where I slept.
I haven't got much time but I wake up every day at around 7am and go to bed at around 9pm so at least I enjoy the days fully. The only down thing is that my interactions with the locals or visitors are close to nothing and I hardly pronounce more than 5 sentences per day. Nevermind, I've got the outdoor to explore!

Unfortunately, my good walk (21km!) in Abel Tasman left me with some blisters so I will not be able to walk for a couple of days at least I think. The 28th, I'll drive to Queenstown and I've just booked a trip to Doubtful Sound for the day after, that should be enough time to heal my feet.
Everybody goes for a cruise to Milford Sound but I chose Doubtful Sound, following the advice of a Kiwi met in Malaysia. It is apparently more "nature" and less crowded. All good. With the cruise, I also booked a return by bus from Queenstown to go there, that will save me some driving and it is not more expensive than the petrol I would have spent (I spent a fortune in petrol!!!!) going there.
