After a night in a horrible camping at Opononi, we drove and walk through the Waipoua forest, the sanctuary of the massive Kauri trees. There certainly are bigger and higher trees in the world but these ones are the masters of the forest. That was a good walk too.

Also went to the Kai Iwi lakes and drove towards Auckland. Stoping at Piha beach for the night, where we found a very welcoming car park with sea view and public toilets. Cool.
