Flag of Vietnam  , Hoi An,
Tuesday, May 13, 2008

The Weather is not funny anymore. I expected 2 or 3 hours of heavy rain per day, like the usual tropical weather. Instead, It has been raining constantly for the past 3 days with maybe 1 or 2 hours of break per day. Can't do much about it but the lovely beach at Mui Ne might not have the same loveliness.

Anyway, we're now in Hoi An, which looks a bit like Luang Prabang with its French architecture. The colors remind me of a provencal village + the rain.

Carlo needing to leave Vietnam by the 17th, he'll take the bus to Nha Trang this evening while I'll take the night bus tomorrow evening with the 2 nice Londoners Neil and Angie that we met in Hue. It is very good but I need to spend some time alone as I miss reading, staying quiet for several hours... and I need to cut on the beer drinking.

Went to visit the ancient Hindu site of My Son which was a bit disapointing if I'm honest (and I am). The return by boat was interesting but would have been better without the over touristic stops in villages.
