I loved Hanoi the first minute I arrived. It is a mix between the busy cities of India and the welcoming vibes of South East Asia. The people, the architecture, the bikes, the lake, the shops, the food... it's all good.
I landed at 6pm and I was already siting with locals on the street, smoking first class stuff, less than 2h after. Quality time completed today by eating a cobra with Carlo and Laura. The cook killed the snake in front of us, getting the beating heart in a glass before we drank the fresh blood with vodka and cobras wine. Miam miam.
Our trip to Ha long Bay was really good value for money : US$ 35 for 2 days / 1 night all included. Difficult to beat this. The limestone cliffs are not as big and impressive as those in northern Laos or Thailand but there are so many of them and when you add the sea, it makes the Ha Long site a true wonder. The night on the boat was difficult: very hot + noise of the rats running in the ceiling + big cockroaches on my back. It was still well worth it and the evening watching the sunset and then the stars above the Bay is something I will not forget.
Thanks to lovely viruses, I had to format my memory card after saving my photos on a DVD.

petit veinard!
Salut Tom,
Bonne reprise
bises
Tom
