The way to arrive is calm, by Laos standard. We still managed to kill at least 2 chickens and hit a horse (yes that's right) on the way but it was OK. The boat trip was excellent with beautiful scenery of the limestone rocks around.

This town is just superb!! I spent the first day bewteen our river view patio and the hamac. Nice. Went for a 2h walk the second day. The feeling in the thick jungle, between the numerous hills and patches of rice fields with buffalos is just sureal.

We had heavy but short rains the last 2 days and it was enough for almost everyone to come back with a leech and for me to have my allergy back. Very annoying and I hope it will be better soon.

Spent 2 good days with 3 couples from UK, NL and Canada that we met before in Thailand or Laos and found in the same guest house. Small world
