Gotta say this is a little weird. Saying goodbye for 3 months has proven to be ultra surreal. I can honestly say I feel like I'll see everyone in two weeks and all things will resume as normal, but here I am the morning after a pretty raging good ole' American Keg party with a dishevelled apartment; all the confusing last minute items laying around wondering if they're going to Nevada, Indonesia, in a box to be shipped to Australia, or a dark lonely resting place in the garage. Charlie is on to us at this point and pretty much attached to one of our legs at every moment. Cant believe I'm gonna drop the little guy off for three months! Couldn't be happier with Sean Patrick (shout out to SP!) and the love and care he will giving to charlie. I am not worried at all!

So far this morning Ryan and I have just been going back and forth saying, "Wow, we have a lot to do." and yet, niether of us has really moved...Maybe the effects of a wonderful Goodbye party. The Forecast was cold with a chance of drizzle and yet somehow the sun managed to make a rare appearance this summer in Manhattan Beach to warm up a few games of volleyball, a quick surf session, conversation among friends, and of course a few rousing games of beer pong. Thank you so much to all of you that made it out! Wouldn't have been a party with out you...or the runaway keg that rolled down the street narrowly missing cars as it tried to escape! Way to go guys...

...And now its off to Burning Man! As I'm sure many of you know, this a huge event in the middle of nowhere (See map) about which I think a lot of rumors and misconceptions are floating around out there. So, as I see it, (and have seen it for the last 5 years of attendance) It is an experiment in temoprary community (in the words of the event itself) which translates roughly to a momentary Utopian hippie-esque community where everyone is in a great mood. (ryan shruggs) Sharing, gift-giving, laughing, dancing, singing...It's where all those stange artsy types (you know who you are) can put their creative engines into over-drive constructing amazing ART on a one-of-a-kind backdrop. A dry lake bed that I would imagine rezembles the surface of the moon. The conditions are extreme being in the high desert and a 40 degree tempurature swing each day, Dust and wind storms, and the legendary threat of rain (please no....please no) make for quite an adventure.

This year the theme for the art installations, costumes, theme camps, etc., is metropolis, Which is fitting given that I have watched the city population sky-rocket from about 15,000 to 50,000 in five years (numbers strictly hearsay), but not so fitting given that we have made a HUGE effort to abandon our own metropolis for 3 months, and "Go native" if you will....So what better way to celebrate the theme than by throwing it completely out the window and doing exactly the opposite by spending the week dressed as Native Americans. (ryan is thrilled) I have been working very hard (hours upon hours of beading feathering and leathering) on some pretty outrageous Headdresses. Pictures to follow.

Wish us luck! with only 24 hours turn around between 5 days in survial mode and getting on a plane for 20 hours....we'll need it.

Thanks to everyone whose reading... it will be great to feel connected when were so far away.
For anyone who wants to join on...Welcome.
For anyone who wants to stop won't hurt my feelings, Peace out.
To Family, Friends, and Clients alike...your support has been invaluable. Thanks to each and every one of you, because I couldn't have made this happen without you.
and to my sister michelle...I apologize in advance for all spelling and Grammar errors...I have a degree in theater :)
