We spent 19 days hiking in the Annapurna region around the Annapurna Circuit and up/back to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC).  We were rewarded with amazing views early in the mornings and since we were trekking in the off season, we had the tea houses to ourselves for the majority of the time.  The scenery changed dramatically day to day and the rain held off until the last week of trekking.  The biggest accomplishment of the trip was crossing the Throng La Pass (17,768 feet high); this called for a proper celebration (see photos).

Our friend and best trekking guide in Nepal, Dipak (AKA "Super Dipak"), kept us out of trouble and heightened our experience with his knowledge of local culture and customs (not to mention keeping us from getting lost).  Thank you, thank you Dipak!

17000 foot barrier
Gorgeous shots buddy. I did my thesis in Muktinath for 2 weeks gorgeous place. Nice job breaking that 17000 foot barrier.
That place looks really similar to Tibet, and if you go to the Northwest from the Annapurna Cirquit you can get to Mustang and Dolpo, a rarely visited region of Nepal. Locals often have never seen a tourist there.
Glad you guys are getting those adventures in.
Incredible Himals. Nice man.

Re: 17000 foot barrier
Dear Loyal Fan -

Thank you for verifying the badassness of our hiking trek. We would have loved to trek in Mustang, but the permit cost is $70/day with a minimum of 10 days; and that's before paying for all of the porters, food, kitchen boy, guide (as you are required to have a guide in this area), etc.... Us members of the PLT II are now taking donations in support of our next trip to the Mustang Region.

We thank you in advance for your heafty pledges.
