Auckland has lived up to its mediocre expectations and has been our base camp for the past few days. Both of us have purchased smaller backpacks and smaller sleeping bags for the remainder of the adventure. We've both shipped home loads of boxes containing gear that we will not need anymore. From now on, we live out of our 35 liter packs stuffed with the bare essentials.
We leave for Nepal in 2 days and could not be more excited. Our travel route to Kathmandu will be posted now as we are not sure when we'll be able to tap into the information-super-highway next.
We hope to add a bit more to this entry, but need a break after the previous two postings...
Thanks for paying attention, and
We'll see you when we see you....
Cheers,
Benny and Max

noooooo
I hate to admit it, but I am addicted to your website and it saddens me to think that it might stay the same for 6 weeks. :( (also, not being able to talk will suck too!)
still waiting
On May 23rd, at 1700 hours you said you were going to add more to this entry. I keep waiting and waiting to see what you will add. I can't think of anything else that would make it better since it has everything I have ever wanted in a post, yet I wait and I wait....
Re: still waiting
Dear Valued Reader - Unfortunately, there is nothing more to report on Auckland. This city would be considered the opposite of a 'must see' destination in New Zealand. Get in, Get out and Get it over with!
