Headed South...Photo Shoot in Oamaru

We've headed south on Highway 1 and have arrived in Oamaru. We stayed at a Top-10 campground, nothing special, and paid $14 each to sleep in the van. This would be the first and last time we would lodge in this fashion. We have learned that parking RICK on any off street is a free alternative to campground lodging, and the scenery to us is just the same.
There is an old street in town that is lined with old limestone buildings. Most of these buildings are storage areas for sheep's wool or house craftspeople who were busy creating wood carvings. Enjoy the photo shoot!

I somehow missed these pix. The wool storage is very interesting. Hotel RICK is a cute picture, too! This was before the sore feet, I think! Love, Mom
